Microsoft Entra ID (ehemals Azure Active Directory) ist Microsofts Cloud-Identitätsdienst für Authentifizierung, SSO und bedingten Zugriff in M365- und Azure-Umgebungen. Anders als lokales AD ist Entra ID für Cloud-Apps und moderne Authentifizierungsprotokolle (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) ausgelegt. Durch Azure AD Connect wird lokales AD mit Entra ID synchronisiert für hybride Identitätsszenarien.
