Buy VDX 6940 Switches
The VDX 6940 switches from Brocade (now Extreme Networks) are among the most powerful platforms for modern data centres and demanding enterprise networks. As high-density Ethernet fabric switches, they offer a scalable architecture designed to meet the demands of cloud infrastructures, virtualisation and data-intensive workloads. In our B2B shop, you’ll find a wide selection of VDX 6940 models – both brand new and in certified refurbished condition.
The VDX 6940 series comprises various models that differ in port density and speed. The VDX 6940-36Q model offers 36 ports with 40 GbE QSFP+, whilst the VDX 6940-144S provides up to 144 ports with 10 GbE SFP+. Both variants also support 100 GbE uplinks and are ideally suited as leaf or spine switches in modern IP fabric architectures. Support for VCS Fabric Technology allows multiple Switches to be combined into a single logical cluster, which significantly simplifies management and scaling.
Organisations benefit from the VDX 6940 Switches particularly in areas such as data centre networking, storage connectivity via FCoE and high-availability network environments. Their low latency and high throughput make these Switches the ideal choice for big data analytics, virtualised server clusters and private cloud deployments.
From a technical perspective, the series impresses with line-rate switching on all ports, comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 functions, and integrated security features such as access control lists and role-based access control. The energy-efficient design, featuring redundant power supplies and hot-swappable fan modules, ensures high reliability in 24/7 operation.
Refurbished VDX 6940 Switches offer a cost-effective alternative to buying new. Each unit is professionally refurbished, thoroughly tested and supplied with a warranty. This means you get tried-and-tested enterprise networking technology at a significantly reduced price – without compromising on reliability or performance.
