The Cisco Nexus 2232PP 10GE Extender is a high-performance fabric extender from the tried-and-tested Nexus 2000 series, designed specifically to extend modern data centre architectures. With 32 SFP+ ports and an additional 8 FCoE uplinks, the N2K-C2232PF-10GE offers a flexible solution for consolidating Ethernet and storage traffic in virtualised environments.
As a fabric extender, the Cisco Nexus 2232PP works seamlessly with higher-level Nexus Switches and expands their port capacity without any additional management overhead. The 16 FET-10G transceivers supplied enable immediate deployment for 10-gigabit connections. Support for Fibre Channel over Ethernet allows separate SAN and LAN infrastructures to be efficiently consolidated, significantly reducing cabling costs and operating expenses. The compact design enables space-saving installation in a rack whilst maintaining high port density.
