The Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E is a high-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric extender designed for modern data centre infrastructures. As part of the tried-and-tested Nexus 2000 Series, this Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E expands the port capacity of Nexus Switches and enables a simplified, scalable network architecture with centralised management.
The Fabric Extender features 32 10GBase-T downlink ports for connecting servers, as well as eight 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports for connecting to parent Nexus Fabric Switches. Thanks to the FEX concept, all ports are managed centrally by the parent Switch, which significantly reduces administrative overhead and ensures consistent policies across the entire network. The Enhanced version of the Cisco Nexus 2232TM-E offers additional features for demanding data centre environments with high requirements for bandwidth and availability.
