The Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E is a high-performance fabric extender from the Nexus 2000 series, which acts as a remote line card for Cisco Nexus Switches and significantly increases port density in the data centre. With 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four SFP+ uplinks, the Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E offers a scalable solution for modern data centre architectures.
As a fabric extender, this device greatly simplifies network management, as all configurations are carried out centrally via the parent Switch. The four 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks ensure a high-performance connection to Nexus 5000, 6000 or 7000 Switches and enable flexible topologies for the server access layer. The Fabric Extender supports both copper and fibre-optic connections and adapts perfectly to different cabling infrastructures. Its compact design, occupying just one rack unit, ensures efficient use of rack space in space-constrained environments.
