The Cisco Nexus 2348TQ is a high-performance 10GE fabric extender from the tried-and-tested Nexus 2000 series, which acts as a remote line card for Nexus Switches in the higher-tier series. With 48 SFP+ ports for 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet connections and six QSFP+ uplink ports, the Cisco Nexus 2348TQ offers a flexible solution for modern data centre architectures with high port densities.
As a fabric extender, this device expands the switching capacity of the parent Switch and enables simplified network administration through centralised management. FEX technology significantly reduces the administrative burden, as all configurations are carried out via the parent Nexus Switch. The Cisco Nexus 2348TQ supports Virtual Port Channel and Fabric Extender Virtualisation, making it ideal for server connections in virtualised environments as well as for top-of-rack deployments with a consistent network architecture.
