The Cisco Nexus 3048, with part number N3K-C3048-BA-L3, is a high-performance Layer 3 Switch from the tried-and-tested Nexus 3000 Series, designed for modern data centre environments and demanding network infrastructures. With its reversed airflow design, this Switch is ideally suited to hot-aisle and cold-aisle cooling concepts, which are standard in professional data centre installations.
The Cisco Nexus 3048 Enterprise Bundle offers 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks for flexible connectivity to higher-level network layers. The integrated Layer 3 functionality enables advanced routing directly at Switch level, thereby significantly reducing latency. As part of the Nexus product family, the device benefits from NX-OS, Cisco’s proven data centre operating system with extensive automation and virtualisation features. Its low latency and high throughput make the Cisco Nexus 3048 the ideal choice for high-frequency trading, cloud computing and storage networks.
