The Cisco Nexus 6001P Switch is a high-performance data centre solution from the tried-and-tested Nexus 6000 Series, designed for demanding data centre environments with high bandwidth requirements. With 48 10G SFP+ ports and four QSFP+ uplinks, this Layer 3 Switch offers impressive port density for modern fabric architectures and virtualised infrastructures.
In addition to the Cisco Nexus 6001P, the bundle includes six Nexus 2248TP-E Fabric Extenders, which together provide 288 additional Gigabit Ethernet ports. This FEX architecture enables flexible expansion of network capacity whilst maintaining centralised management via the parent Switch. The redundant AC power supply, operating at 100 to 230 volts, guarantees maximum operational reliability in a 19-inch rack. The Cisco Nexus 6001P Switch supports FCoE, making it ideally suited to converged network designs that aim to combine storage and LAN traffic.
