The Cisco Nexus 6001 is a high-performance Layer 3 Switch from the Nexus 6000 series, designed for high-performance data centre environments and demanding network infrastructures. With its compact 1U form factor, the Cisco Nexus 6001 offers impressive port density and is ideally suited as a top-of-rack Switch in modern data centre architectures.
The switch features 48 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports and four additional 40 Gigabit QSFP+ uplink ports for maximum bandwidth and flexibility when connecting to spine switches or core networks. The Nexus platform supports advanced Layer 3 features and, thanks to Virtual Port Channel technology, enables a high-availability network architecture without Spanning Tree. With FCoE support, storage and data traffic can be efficiently consolidated onto a shared infrastructure. Its low latency and high throughput make the Cisco Nexus 6001 the ideal choice for virtualised environments and cloud deployments.
